Promises? I Try..
In my age of 25--better late than never.. ;p, I now pay much more attention to the issues in my beloved country, Indonesia. It's just saddened me everyday.. Hearing bad news, about the corruption, the criminals, the unfortunate.. I don't know all the things, and don't have an instant way out, but I feel like I want to do something for this country. Not just like what I used to do, but more.. Starting with:
Using my vote wisely. Funny, even I get to choose at the election day, I just choose without any further thinking or analyzing. I just followed what others might choose. And it happens twice. Now I won't do that again. Even one vote, could make a difference, right?
Next, I will try to be always obey the rules. Mainly the everyday rules, traffic. You know, I used to hate the traffic policeman. I do. In my thoughts, based on stories and experiences, some of them are disrespectful. Those people really ruin my respect for their corps. Whose to blame, then? Me? We--the citizens? or Them? They said that it was the citizen fault that gives them the easy money.. But, did they ever had introspection to their corps as well? Anyway, just try to obey it, and I don't get involved with those people anymore, or worst--having to be "semprit"-bayu's trade mark for police warning! hehehe.. errr, unless, it's not a lucky day I guess.
Well, having my job at one of the banking institution in Indonesia that spread around through the cities and villages, I have the opportunity to do things that would affect the lives in the area. So, I will always try to do the best at what I do. But, for everyone who doesn't, still what you do, did have a contribution for this country.
Aside from that, I will try to have my social awareness increase.. I believe, a small step is a big step. And the last but not least, I would add my prayer for this country. To be honest, I have never mentioned about it in my previous prays ever.. Hehe..
